The company Rigo was founded in Queluz as a manufacturer of natural leather paint rollers, always with an innovative approach. Bringing novelties to the market by regularly attending international fairs.

Rigo was a pioneer in the introduction of synthetic fabrics that are still on the market today, such as Antigota fabric (Polyamide), due to the need for greater consistency in the quality of the raw materials used in production.

By replacing natural fabrics with synthetic ones, you can guarantee the uniformity and quality of your rolls all year round.

Rigo participated in the development of the world’s first thermofusion machine, in partnership with a Barcelona paint accessories company. This partnership has revolutionized the manufacture of paint rollers.

With this new thermofusion system, the tube is adhered to the fabric with melted polypropylene and not with adhesives, as was previously the case, which has made all Rigo rollers resistant to solvents.

With the transition to the production of thermofused paint rollers, Rigo reaches 90% of the paint stores in Portugal.

Rigo is moving from its premises in Queluz (800m2) to Agualva-Cacém (1500m2).

Internationalization of the Rigo brand, with a strong presence at international fairs such as Barcelona (Spain), Cologne (Germany) and Paris (France).

Renovation of the entire Rigo Industrial Park in order to meet the needs of national and international customers in terms of both quality and quantity, from a production of 1,000 rolls/day to 1,200 rolls/hour.

Restructuring the company and redefining the supply chain. Rigo abruptly reduces the number of clients and is now only present in the retail, large-scale distribution and industrial clients.

Change of facilities to an area of 4750m².

Without losing its industrial nature, Rigo is investing heavily in new technologies, including online sales, supporting its dealers with the possibility of submitting their orders more quickly and efficiently.

Renovation of the entire industrial park, focusing on the quality of the end product. Investment in new, higher quality raw materials, the introduction of blisters and new forms of packaging, in order to optimize the storage and transport of products.

Another important milestone in the journey towards quality and excellence by implementing the EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. This recognition reinforces Rigo’s commitment to continuous improvement, process efficiency and customer satisfaction. With this certification, Rigo guarantees even higher standards in production, ensuring products and services of the highest quality.

On our journey towards sustainability, Rigo has also invested in solar panels at the factory, reducing the carbon footprint and using clean, renewable energy. This initiative makes production more efficient and environmentally friendly, contributing to a more sustainable future.
